With profound sadness, the Pike School of Art-MS Board of Directors honors the lives of two remarkable people whose dedication, compassion, and belief in the power of the arts helped shape our organization and our community.
We remember our Executive Director, Calvin Phelps, whose vision and leadership transformed Pike School of Art into a place where creativity, dialogue, and community could flourish. Calvin believed that art has the power to connect people, tell honest stories, and inspire positive change. His legacy continues to guide our work every day.
We also honor Rosemary Martin, our longtime employee, volunteer, and devoted partner in the arts. Rosemary’s generosity, kindness, and unwavering commitment touched countless lives. Through her service and dedication, she helped build the welcoming and creative community that Pike School of Art is today.
Together, Calvin and Rosemary gave so much of themselves in service to others. Their passion, generosity, and love for this community will never be forgotten.
As we continue the work they cared for so deeply, we do so with gratitude for their lives and with a commitment to carry their vision forward.
