The SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI ARTIST GROUP PORTRAIT invites ANY self-identifying artist (visual, music, craft, etc) living and/or working in southwest Mississippi to present themselves in a large group portrait–organized by artist Jason Lazarus.

The goal of the portrait event is to foster exchange and connection amongst the wide range of artist communities that comprise southwest Mississippi (Adams, Amite, Claiborne, Franklin, Jefferson, Lawrence, Lincoln, Pike, Walthall and Wilkinson counties) and to create a historical moment for present and future generations.

The community will own the image and the right to reproduce, distribute, and manipulate the image. The image, in full resolution, will be available via free download, by the public, in perpetuity.
